The condition where you grind, clench, or gnash your teeth unconsciously is called bruxism but is commonly referred to as teeth grinding. Teeth grinding usually occurs during sleep and can result from excess stress or anxiety.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please consider calling in to make an appointment:

  • A persistent headache that originates in the temples
  • Tired or tight jaw muscles
  • Increased tooth sensitivity
  • Excessive teeth wear
  • Flattened, chipped, fractured, or loose teeth
  • Face, neck, or jaw pain or soreness
  • Interrupted sleep

When bruxism goes untreated, it can lead to any of these symptoms that will only worsen over time.
