The Benefits of Dental Crowns & Veneers

October 7, 2024

Dental crowns and veneers can be excellent options to improve the look, feel, and function of your smile. Whether capping an entire tooth, as in the case of a dental crown, or covering the front of the tooth with a dental veneer, Dr. Spaulding is highly skilled in fixing blemishes and cracks, hiding stains, and resolving any other imperfections in your smile.

Crowns and Veneers: A Versatile Solution

A versatile treatment option, dental crowns and veneers can be used in combination to treat full-mouth rehabilitation cases, or very specifically to restore isolated teeth and improve overall esthetics. Layering the perfect veneer is often all that is required to take an oddly formed or blemished tooth and restore it to a natural and cohesive beauty, matching the rest of your teeth. When the blemish is more serious or affects the structural integrity of the tooth, a dental crown can be a perfect option. The dental crown caps the entire tooth and provides a marked visual improvement while enforcing the tooth's strength and function.

Take a look at a the case below where both of these treatment methods where used by Dr. Spaulding recently.

For this patient, Dr. Spaulding expertly replaced the crown on the left maxillary central incisor and placed a layered composite veneer on the right maxillary central incisor with coloring and contouring to ensure the teeth match aesthetically.
